It seems either you messed something up while "Building" the map, or there is a bug. :(

When you press the create map on the menu it creates a map called Map.bmp.   This is the default name, but to use it you need to change the name and convert it to 256 colors.   For example, if you call your map "AMap" then you need to change the name of "Map.bmp" to "AMap.bmp" to make appear in the TE.    Unless you do both you will not see the map in the TE.

You didn't perhaps make just an Island that's very small when you look at the map.

I did

what i did do was do the work on one pc then make the bitmap on the other pc usion the earlier version of TE

I am a bit confused here....your saying you made the map on your current machine, then transfered the map to your old machine to create the bitmap for the terrain?   If it's the other way around, then I would say use the convert option on the file menu to bring the map up to the latest TE standards.   But if I am correct in my understanding of how you did it, you might have to delete the TE plus delete the left over directory (saving your map of course) and start all over.   One last question, if you create a new map does it display the map after one is created?   If you still are having problems and would like, PM me and I will get with you and try your map on my system.

I'm having trouble with me clipboard map as well. Although, it's a very strange problem. When I make the map, it cuts off the excess of the squares and puts it in another place.
