Lazs, - may I point out, - again, that I own and can own more, - enough guns to gun you down, even from far?
Just nothing that fits my pocket.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

lol

You asked a question...I answered why I had made the assumptions.  Now I'm taking it personally?

Honestly, my 3 year old debates more logically and adult-like than you sometimes.

Rifles and shotguns don't work as well as pistols at close range. In the event of a house intruder, you would most likely be close enough that he would grab the barrel of your gun and point it away from himself, and then with his other hand pull out his pistol and shoot you. Short barrels work wonders in close combat. And they can be drawn much quicker.

Well, actually the possibility of harming a snake with the short barrel is about equal. So maybe I get the ultimate home defence weapon, - a short 1/2 inch hosepipe, - 1 foot.
See, it will break any raised arm like a twig.

:D

A perfect home defence could also be a bundle of house-trained rattlers in the hall, at night, muhahahaha.
Or spoiled and cuddly pythons along with some furry housecats who jump people?
Personally I prefer dogs...

I prefer dogs myself. And pistols. And rifles/shotguns for long range shots, such as someone who ran out the door.

You don't know how far a shotgun with a modified choke will shoot, do you? The pellets don't spread as much with a modified choke, I've shot squirrels with mine that were over 100 - 150 yards away.
