Looking for an FSO Squad slot
« on: August 02, 2007, 08:26:07 PM »
I'm very interested in participating in FSO.  I've been playing the game (MA) for 4 or 5 years now.  My previous MA squads weren't involved in FSO and I've only had the chance to walk-on a couple of times.

I have above average knowledge of the game, and will more often than not accomplish whatever tasks I'm assigned.  Disclaimer: I took about 6 mos. off the game recently, and my dive bombing skills seem to be a little rusty. I've actually missed a couple hangars and a few GV's in the past week, something that would have been unthinkable 6 mos. ago. (In all honesty, I was a little to casual about my approach believing that I would pull it off, and didn't :)

I'm comfortable in almost any aircraft. (I've flown the P47-D11 recently and augered both after stalling them while too low to recover. Until I sort that problem out, I'll cringe if assigned one.)

If anyone could use another pilot I'd appreciate you contacting me.

In the Main arena I'm currently "Westell" and almost always fly Rook. (My best friend IRL is always been a Rook)

Come into the arena Friday night and look me up, I'm sure we will have extra slots available and I'm sure our guys wouldn't mind having a guest.

That is bad advice....you must have made arrandements beforehand to fly in an FSO. He did the right thing by coming here and trying to prearrange a guest slot. Showing up and saying "hey do any squads have an open slot?" is NOT the way to do it.

No response.  :(

big-mo,

We're not a bomber squad and I'm not the CO or XO, so I can't offer you a spot with the Mongrels, but I will point our CO/XO to this thread.

True but most of the time if you show up early it will work...

Your more than welcome to fly with us. You would also do fine with any of the above that were willing to let you fly with them.

Just PM who you would like to fly with and try to arrange it ahead of time. :)

I'm late hopping in on this one, but Clowns is looking for some new pilots also, we're down on numbers due to summertime travel and such.

Its a fun group though and without too many weird rules, so if you're looking for a squad thats not all tangled with politics, its a good one to consider.  Find any of our guys online and ask.  We'd be glad to have you.

I'd be interested in joining FSO this Friday as well.  Haven't done it before, but would like to.  Even though I can handle a fighter kinda, I'm better at level bombing.

Unfortunately, it is against the rules. FSO is a no-walkons event. As Dace stated, you must have had made prior arrangements with a registered squad to be permitted to fly the event. Coming into this forum is the RIGHT thing to do.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.
