VWE I was thinking about that yesterday as I was sawing up trees in 97 degree heat..what do they have you guys do to not collapse from heat? A Sgt Major friend of mine who went thru boot in 1960 said they used to shove salt tablets down ya until your boots turned white, but that wasn't allowed anymore, as they (D.I.'s)weren't 'qualified' to dispense medicine...Is there a new hi-tech thing the army does, or is it just DRINK DRINK DRINK water all day?

When your out in full battle rattle you have to drink a minimum of 1 litre of water an hour. I've consumed 8 litres in a day before and never had the urge to go pee...
