yeah,  i can imagine what your post was about TC. y'know i spent 3 hours the other day taking my 109E against ganging spitfires. then ended up going 1 on 1 spit5 vs 109e with a good stick for a while and got my butt shot down most times trying to turn low n slow with the spit. through out the night i got maybe 5 kills for 15 deaths.  It was a fun night.

This evening it was a quiet arena at first and some fun 1on1s were going on, with people typing 'staying out' and 'let us fight 1 on 1 plz' all the time. then later i was flying for about an hour in F4us with Tbarone and we had niks and ki-84s coming out of our ear holes, ganging and ho-ing along with a few good fights when chance permited. no one complained or left the arena, we just got new planes. for my last sortie of the night i decided to fly a P38 for 5 sectors from the rear base and see if i could stay alive and reload on the CV. i refueled a few times and flew smart, keeping my altitude or extending from two Zeros untill my squad or teammates could help even the odds.. Had a very good fight 1 on 1 with Dichodog in his zero. coulpe of other times i helped out the same folk who had helped me, much to the displeasure of a few regulars. I was not under the impression that it was the dueling arena.

I know that i cant log in and get what I want every time. one must accept that the enemy cannot see anything but a plane type icon, and therefore must treat all enemy with the same degree of hostility. In a multi plane pile up combat honour goes out the window and it is not fair to expect mercy from those who have been shown none for the previous hour before you logged in.

I ended my evening landing on the CV with 9 hard earned kills after 90 mins of flying the same bird.

I always accept that i must take the gameplay as it is offered on any given night, and adapt.

simple frustration & prob alot to do with the 115 degree heat index for 4 to 5 hrs straight during the blistering sun yesterday , more than anything else....I got hot during the day......didn't want to be hot in the game........ so like a dweeb I come here to vent, then thought better.....& went to bed :aok

ya know Bat, I came out over the water, and noticed 2 icons below me, F6f & F4U.then suddenly out to the SW popped 2 more icons 1 higher 1 a smidge above co alt....was a F4U & P38....I went into a slight nose low turn to keep and eye on the 2 low icons watching the other 2 higher ones heading in my direction...the F4U went for one of them pitchback type immelman merges and I watched him the whole way......I went to look for the P38 and did a quick scan ......saw nadda......then as I went to chase after the High F4U I heard a ping or 2 and noticd it was the 38...so the frustration was on me, for having sub par SA last night....can't blame anyone but myself..same as I said in game.........you get used to flying with certian individuals especially when you are in the AvsA and you are in a malee furball....certian people you have fought with 9 out of 10 times throw out that check 6 for just a safe measure. 9 out of 10 times you and I both already know for which plane the check 6 is being given for before u receive it.......

Last night I was just that "SUBPAR"........ and it started from the time I 1st  logged in, I get in a trance to where I am thinking watch out for everyone and give up on watching out for myself FIRST and FOREMOST....that is what happened last night........that and as I mentioned before.......5 hrs working in the blistering Sun and being soaked from the head to the foot from prespiration.......

better log than to rant and get ill and look like a fool....

there will be better nights, always are ~SALUTE~

I thought it was a good little romp monday night.  It has been a couple years since I played and I do miss the CT crowd we had back then but I thought it was a load of fun.  Made me want to sneak home today early and practice.

The whole HO thing is a bit of a null point.  It used to really bug me too but after many years of bad flying (mine) and experience you really do begin to understand that it takes two to ho.  If you do not assume the HO in every merge you are really just not mentally flying right.  Personally I do not try it on the first pass ever since it puts you at a bit of a disadvantage but I do not blame others for trying.  It also reflects poorly on you but so does enjoying NASCAR yet that doesn't seem to stop people from wearing ugly hats.

oh yeah forgot, my in game id is myrmica but hopefully it will go back to erg soon.
