Been searching for downed pilot for past three weeks now. Everyone asking everyone, "have you seen missing pilot?". All reply with same answer., "unknown last location". Search continued until yeserday evening, when search and recovery delivered him back to us.
We're not unlike any other squadron, we try to look out for our own, help one and another then they're down, both in a game, and in real life. I share this insert as a tribute to anyone and everyone that serves on the front lines, where ever they may be........................... ....................
INSERT:
............sorry bout my absence but a gentleman i pulled over thought it was my time to die.but i disagreed.i pulled over a car on a rainy night.it had a tail light out.i was going to let the driver know and send them on their way.when i got to the window of the vehicle multiple shots rang out.6 rounds were stopped by my vest.however one round entered my neck ,grazing a main artery.if it werent for my paramedic buddies whom i work with i would not be writing this now.the doctors said they could not figure out how my heart kept beating with so little blood in my body.AN LTAR heart never dies, nor does an LTAR heart quit.they didnt understand this but i know my brothers do.
LTARthrn is now at home resting and recovering, sipping some fine Crown, licking his "Scratch" lol. Probably pissed because I posted this. But hell, when ever I find a hero..........I'm going to let folks know.
Salute Thrn; Godspeed my brothern.
