Sorry if it was interpreted as me saying that we "deserved 9/11."  I was not implying that at all.  What I'm urging people to look at is the reason they attacked us in the first place.  It doesn't make it justified at all but there was a reasoning for their attack and it wasn't because they "hate our freedoms."  Our government has enacted so much legislation to restrict our freedoms these days all under the guise of safety that we're blind as to who has become more dangerous.  9/11 was a despicable attack against this United States and I do not think we deserved it or had it coming.  However, we're playing right into Bin Laden's hands by occupying and invading more soverign nations in the world.  Every nation we overthrow, every war we engage in, Bin Laden's numbers are bolstered.  There was no Al-Qaeda threat in Iraq until we invaded.

What is it I want?  Nothing much, just a return to our constitution, a document we've abused and forgotten recently.  The document that liberated this nation from tyranny and made it the great nation that was once loved around the world for its freedom, now it's hated for its opression.  Our government has taken away more of our freedoms and done more damage to our nation than Bin Laden or any terrorist scum could ever dream.

P.S. To all of you saying "Leave this country."  I'm glad you say it and keep saying it.  After all that's what this great country is all about, the freedom to disagree, the freedom to speak and express one's self, this is what I'm fighting to defend and this is what we stand to lose.  I'm sorry you feel that way but I will continue to support your right to say or express yourself as  Americans.

If a UAV sprayed them with anthrax they would get sick and die, thinking God was punishing them for their wicked ways.

Furthermore, I would not call it our image but I would call it our principles.  How is it we can be taken seriously as a nation, that we can be respected, if we don't stick by our principles.  The greatest thing a government can do is ensure the free flow of liberties to the people, when a government restricts that and the people stand for it, it sends a terrible message to the rest of the world that autocracy and even tyranny can prevail.  Perhaps if we, the people, demanded change to unconstitutional laws and acts that restrict our civil liberties the people of Iraq would have taken note and got rid of Saddam on their own.  We claim to have the moral high ground meanwhile we have a government far larger and with more power than our founding fathers originally intended.  This problem has been here for years, it didn't come on September 11th.

This is really a monumental photograph.   It doesn't bring a glib statement to my     mind.  I know the temptation is to rip one off...  but I can't.

And what is the "enemy," apparently to some today it's anyone who they perceive as a threat to the United States.  When you have a "War on Terror" anyone can be labeled as a terrorist.  It's time we stop using fear mongering against our own people.  Since when are we a nation of preemptive war, our founding fathers instructed us not to meddle in foreign affairs, to engage in commerce with nations but not to forge any alliances.  Yet today we have become the police force of the world.  It's a vicious cycle with no end.  We intervene somewhere in the world politically and militarily, certain individuals become enraged at our presence over there, that we are meddling in their affairs.  As a result of this it causes certain individuals with radical viewpoints to become empowered as they're a voice of dissent against the United States who is occupying their land (again either militarily or politically).

Let's face it, before we started getting involved in other nations affairs no one was blowing up our buildings.  Don't like the truth? Tough.  This is the reality we are faced with today.   I believe that anyone who did 9/11 or anyone who has ever commited an attack against an American or America should be held accountable, as by attacking Americans they are depriving them of liberty.  Bin Laden need to be held accountable for what he did on that day, but Bin Laden is not in Iraq.  You don't bring a man to justice by launching a ground war.

(Edit)(Addition)
Again I'm not saying that the terrorists are justified, by no means am I saying that.  What I am saying is we need to prevent ourselves from making the same mistake twice, and by invading sovereign nations, having a military presence all over the world, and by interfering with the politics of sovereign nations we have generated a lot of hate for our nation.  This doesn't mean terrorists are justified in their acts of violence against a nation for what it's done, obviously those who perpetuate violence against a nation and its people are truly evil people, there is no justification for it.

Hey Soviet, what the hell makes YOU the expert on Bin Ladin, or Islam, or anything else for that matter. You write like you're typing from a pamphlet handed out a Party meeting or a collage campus.

Say you about to be murdered by a thug (just to take what you have or merely see the muscles in your face go slack), would you honestly meditate on the matter and decide that, while killing you is an atrocious act, you can understand and appreciate how your murder would seem like the right thing to do, from the thug's point of view.

BS!

I have to go puke now.
