AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH Help!

I just had a new PC built (specifically for gaming on AH) and the last 2 days on AH have been a NIGHTMARE!

This has happened like 15 times in the last two days:

I log in and fly.  While grabbing alt, I'll put it on auto-pilot.  After a couple of minutes either on it's own, or when I touch a keyboard key or move my joystick, it does this...

Screen goes to some funky looking up view...all I see is sky and stars, my frame rate goes from 60 to ZERO, and the screen totally freezes.  

No key stroke, view change, nothing, locks down that way and I have to stop the computer from the PC front...not even the three-finger-salute (ctl+alt+del) will get me unfrozen.

Is this some funky problem between the GAME and Windows XP?  I have never had XP before, and I know there are some issues, but didn't see it until now.

PSE help me...I invested a lot in this new box:

Dual Core Processor
Extended Motherboard
2 G RAM
250G Memory
256M video card

All the drivers/etc were done by an extremely good tech/firm who are also into gonline gaming.

Build a new computer.. this one blows...

68rox.. please list your video card and driver versions...sometimes the newest versions arent the best.

Also do a dxdiag and post it here... I cant be much help but thats your starting point.

Have you installed the dual core patch? if not this could be your problem, there is a sticky in the Tech area.

The tip to change Windows preference to an earlier version of Windows worked great.
