Just which club would you use to get most of your Baby Seal onto the greens close enough for a decent putt?

I say a 5 Iron. What say you?

So, just to make sure I understand - because you like the way the seals look, or because they aren't mature, its somehow wrong to utilize them as a resource? Its OK in the case of other animals if they aren't so pretty, or are older?

There's nothing wrong with emotion. You just need to recognize it for what it is. I am not saying it doesn't have worth, or is worth less than logic, but I would recommend that logic should take precedence when discussing what is right or wrong. Its OK if you choose to make your personal decisions based on how your emotions influence you, but I don't think that's fair when commenting on the decisions of others.

This isn't about "manning up", my point is rather that what emotion may cause you to perceive in the actions of others isn't always valid. It may cause you to misunderstand their motivations. Its even in this case caused you to misunderstand my point.

Dear Culero,

I feel you are a good guy, dear.

Personally I wont club bambi and baby seals!

I am sure you wouldn't either!

God gave me the logic to listen to my feelings! :rofl

Happy Turkey day!

I can't for the life of me figure out what's so cute about babies. Don't want em, why do people have them? They just sound like more problems. Like taking care of a dog but much worse.

Thanks for the compliment, I like to think I'm a good guy myself :)

But I think that whether or not I need to club seals in order to make a living/provide for my family. Thankfully, I'm not in the position to need to, but if I were, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I have killed animals by crushing their skulls many times. They didn't seem to suffer as much as animals I have seen killed by other methods. Disruption of brain tissue acts quickly. When you get right down to it, if you've made the choice to kill, clubbing when done properly isn't cruel at all IMO. Its all about mechanics, physiology, and the right tool.

Of course, all that's based on logic. If you allow emotion to cloud your thought process, you may make unreasonable judgments about other's ethics. Make your own decisions based on feelings if you so choose, but is it fair to impose those feelings on others?

mmmm... feelings, like opinions... we all got em. I hear ya.

There are jobs and then there are jobs.

Personally, I could not live with myself if I clubbed beautiful baby seals for a living. I am sure those who do, do so dispassionately. I certianly do not buy baby seal fur.

Had I been a Russian bomber pilot flying with The Night Witches I would have bombed those Nazis as much and as often as possible, but then they weren't baby seals rather invaders of my Motherland bent on killing... especially all Jews found in their path... babies and all.

Btw, I grew up in SW Tejas so I know a few slang words... hint hint :D
