Higher Percentage of Pilots Wounds
« on: December 09, 2007, 10:40:02 AM »
Has anyone noticed a higher percentage of Pilot wounds being recorded?

Last night I received Pilot wounds a total of 9 times.   At one point 3 pilots attacking a Rook base each received pilot wounds with no damage to their aircraft.

It just seemed to be an unusual high number of Pilot wounds last night.

Well better thicken  that Window and get less pilot wounds. A bullet can go through a window and do no damage to a Plane but hit the pilot:O

Best way to prevent PWs is to get shot less.

I usually get PW's mostly in a 38 or ki and it's usually from an ack hit. Ack, me and a 38 don't mix but I just don't seem to learn. Last night i was surprised to see puffy ack hitting me a lot on the Pizza map in blue. Many seemed to be trying to make it through the window and I had more cracked glass than I ever had in one night. What I'm really begining to worry about is why some of my kills are not recording. last month I had quite a few and this month I'm not even getting kill mesgs. on some.

Last month I was able to get 14 kill mesgs. in a pt boat on a pt boat that kept spawning to our cv, letting torps go and ending sortie. I clearly got hits and on 2/3's of them but not one was recorded onto my score page in the kills section. I should have added a few of them to it and the rest that I did not hit to kills not counted toward rank.

Also many times I've been unable to kill buildings with any type of ord at all in my planes. They just go right through them. Frames 40-75 and connection is good

Try a new plane. Different planes seem to allow different types of damage more frequently.

I would love someone to put together a list of "what plane tends to take what kinda damage" for us.

I would find that quite interesting.

Yeah, you must have been flying a twin.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Must be the way your flying, I fly a Zero(which has just about 0% pilot protection) and I don't get that many pilot wounds, fuel tanks are a different story though...

lol in a zeke any hit usualy means death anyway.
the p38 takes so many pw just by merit of its profile, people aim at the center of the plane well the center of the plane is the cockpit. much easier to get pw s in 38
i rarely get pw in p47 mainly from ack when i do, its a fairly tough plane.
