NPR said today that Congress's approval rating is 22 percent.

President Bush's approval rating is 37 percent.

So yeah, Bush is bad, just not as bad as the Congress.

I'd like to see one REAL law the democrat controled congress has passed in the last 6 months (besides the defeats they've sucked up the last 2 days).

They've passed more "non binding" resolutions than real ones.

Don't tunnel vision the Dems. Prior to the mid-terms I saw more non-binding poli-posturing and bluff fluff from the Pubs.

I'm all for for calling politicians on bs but don't try to draw a line where it doesn't really exist. Go after all who do it.

I'll Concede, I'm tired of seeing do nothing laws from both parties.  YOu have to admit that the dems have been stopped dead in there tracks today the war funding bill and the expansion of health care.

I don't think they've past much "binding" resolutions since they took power though.

I HEARD there have been over 46 bills intended on ending the Iraq war and they have ALL failed.  Sorry no hard source to back that up but it wouldn't suprise me!

I most definately agree that both parties talk the talk about working together but neither seem to able to walk the walk much less understand how such works. Two agendas, neither of which seem interested in attacking the immediate problems in a productive way. BUT .... I was damned tired of seeing the previous Pub congress suddenly put all their focus on gay marriage or flag burning just to turn heads away from more important issues. Then when they finally got back to "business" it was NBRs to attempt to "prove" they were more patriotic than the Dems.

Au contraire! They DID do something! the budget (which eliminated the promised fence, which was why  'comprehensive immigration reform wasn't to be trusted) has 11 THOUSAND earmarks, one of which is a 700 MILLION dollar bike path:confused:

I agree. Why reward the GOP representatives for lack of participation? National crisis requires acting like it. Can't complain about the other party dragging down the nation one week and go sailing with the family the next. I'm sure Dem phones can get Rep calls and visa versa.
