New 'F5' view
« on: March 30, 2001, 09:27:00 AM »

I've been messing with the new F5 view and it's damn useful for exploring the terrains.

Any chance we can get this available in the film viewer? I understand that because of the way updates are handled (with the big steps in granularity at 4,000 yds and 2,000 yds) that things will look at little odd when the viewpoint is away from the aircraft and there isn't anything that can be done about that, but I'd still like to be able to use it, please =)

button 1 = switch to top down "map" view, hold and move stick to scroll view
button 2 = move backwards, hold and move stick/rudder to "fly"
button 3 = move forwards, as above

And just to complete things.

Throttle controlls your speed when the buttons are pressed (which confused me for a while =)

Just an FYI here....if you're having trouble manuevering around in the CM Eye while offline, chances are it's because you have used a third party application to map keystrokes to your joystick buttons.

In my case, I use Speedkeys to map keystrokes to my CH HOTAS setup. Because of this, my joystick buttons wouldn't work correctly with the CM Eye. After unmapping those buttons, it works perfectly.

I can look down at a field and pan around it.

But I can't "go" anywhere else.

What buttons let you move around?

Thanks,
eskimo

Try using your throttle to move.
