11 PM Eastern Time on Friday's.  Typically, there will be 3 frames on three straight Fridays, with a week off until the next setup occurs.

January's FSO begins on 18 January.

I'm not clear on your question but I will try to answer it.

"Special Events" consists of many different events that are run on a continuous basis throughout the week. Here is a brief synopsis of the Events....

Friday Squad Operations (FSO)
Runs three consecutive Fridays at 11pm Eastern Time. Three nights (frames) equals one FSO event. After one event, there is a week off. Then a different event begins.

Snapshots
Snapshots are designed from military conflicts around the globe during World War II. This is a walk on event and all players are welcome. Frames usually last for approximately 1 hour. Time permitting the hosting CM will run a 2nd frame that would allow attending players to switch sides. These are single life frames. Snapshots are held every Wednesday Evening at 2200 hours (10PM EST) and Thursday at 1500 hours (3PM EST) in the Special Events Arena. Players entering the arena will be asked to pick a side, Axis or Allied. Once sides are established you will attempt to complete the mission that has been described in the Snapshot design and/or MOTD (Message of the Day). *

AHEARL - Aces High Extreme Air Racing League
This Event takes place on Tuesday at 10:00 EST or 2200 hrs in the Special Event Arena. No preregistration required. Just show up and get ready to race. Practice is encouraged prior to the race.  The race track will be posted in the Race Tracks section of this (Extreme Air Racing) web page and can be practiced offline as much as desired before the race.  The Special Events Arena will be set up for racing practice by Sunday evening, and practice can be undertaken online as long as the arena is available.  Each race is typically a 3 heat race where the pilot with the highest overall finishes in all 3 heats is the winner and gains 20 points towards the Season Points race. The Racing Season is a 3 month season (12 weeks) and the top 3 points winners of a Season will race for the Championship at the end of the year.  Do you have what it takes to capture the coveted title of AH Extreme Racing League Champion?  The winner claims the Championship trophy.  Don't let someone else claim your prize, be there for every race!*

Scenarios
Scenarios are large scale battles that recreate battles of WWII. They are heavily advertised, require pre-registration and take months to put together. Normally, scenarios are run on Saturday at 3pm EST. They include three, 2-3 hour frames.

Friday and Saturday King of The Hill (KOTH)
All players fly the same plane type. Fight to the death. Winner of the round chooses the next plane. Repeat until someone wins three rounds
KOTH is a no holds barred free-for-all that puts your skills to the test, and will really elevate your pulse! Friday KOTH occurs at 3pm EST. Saturday KOTH occurs at 9pm EST.

There is the gist of Aces High Special Events. You can see what events are taking place by clicking above this thread on the Calendar button. And remember, you can always find the best information about events by visiting http://www.AHEvents.org.

Thanks!

Also, make sure you go to http://www.ahevents.org and register your squad for the FSO event.  Preferably this week sometime, as they will be checking the numbers and assigning sides. Make sure that your squad has an acting CO and a secondary contact so that you all can get your orders or any changes that may occur.  :aok
