Folding Wings and Wingtips where applicable.

This would be awesome and add much drama and realism.

Imagine spawning on the deck in a Naval fight and being required to unfold the wings on your hellcat before taking off!  If you have experienced IL2 then you know what a treat this is!

How many people think this would add to the AcesHigh experience?

Immersion, yes. Gameplay, no.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I'd say yes but only AFTER they make the water... into water.

Kinda ironic to have the detail of folding wings when your water is made of impregnable tungsten with rails on them for ships to use.

Not in the MA. In scenarios it'd be cool to have that and deck elevators, etc.  In fact planes folded on the deck and below it could serve as fighter hangars...

It would be great to have these....

But likely hood of HiTech adding them is zip!!

Too bad though, would be interesting seeing all 37 Tomcatters on a cv deck unfolding their hellcat wings!! lol

It would be like the great bird of prey spreading its wings before it attacks!!

When friendly collisions are on, and unfolding your wings into a friendly plane means they break off, then I'm all for it!

Until then, the point is moot.

For me, having to unfold wings would be most interesting in that I would experience, to the degree possible in a simulation/game, what the pilots of those planes experienced as they sat in their cockpits while the action took place.

Is wing fold/unfold anything close to necessary for a game where your primary MO is to launch and die, rinse repeat...capture fields and reset maps?

uhmmm....not even.

Still, would be a good whish for me to have added.

Yeah I find it odd that when you ditch into water you just sit there on top, no hurry to bail out before you drown.
I'd like water to be water. I reckon it would add to the "immersion" :rofl

Have you seen IL2's water? It is pretty sweet, the plane sinks as it should and you are left floating there IF you bail/ditch.

I know,my oppinion doesn't matter but lets say......you make a mistake and do not push the / button and while you are typing you fold the wings of the aircraft.

I think the wing fold mechanisms on most WW2 era fighters were switch Dependant on the aircraft weight being levied against the struts.  I'm not sure about this.

In AH you would simply not be able to fold purposefully in flight....I imagine.

Lol fake someone out thinking they got both wings and then unfold them after the egress and pull out right about the ground.  Dogfights would be all over that one.
