789 Chevy
« on: January 11, 2008, 05:17:34 PM »
My dad just sent me this via email....  it looks kinda ok... I might have done it differently... I havent tried to look this up yet, but knowing some of the stuff that goes around through email this is probably a few years old

Quote
This car was built by N2A  motors (No Two Alike).  Cost is $40,000 over the cost of a new
Corvette C6 (MSRP $44,000).  Unbelievable!  The company is planning a  production
Run of about 100 vehicles.  It sits on a Corvette C6  chassis, front styled like a 57 Chevy,
Side like a 58, rear like  a 59.  Hence the designation "789".

I generally like it and I can appreciate what they were trying to do, but I also dont really like the paint, and I dont like the wheels.   I'm not sure I even like the combo of a 57 and 59 (I dont see the 58 in it although it might be the doors)  I like the old chevys except for the 64's,  those flat grilled, boxy lookin cars some of the uglest lookin cars ever made...

The paint scheme is the only thing I do like.  Two-tone paint schemes are a lost art IMHO.

The Stinger looks very interesting.  Might be something there.  Really digging that one.

Its purdy but the wheels are junk. Put the classic whitewalls back on it and normal rims

if you can afford the car, i imagine you could afford to throw some real wheels on it.
