I myself prefer the L over the J.

I 95% of the time carry 100.  If the fight is real close Ill grab 75 or 50 depending on how high they are coming in.

G, 50% and DTs, use DTs until I engage (or they run out, obviously)

J, either 50% and DTs like above, or 75% and burn the outer (aux) tanks first.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

J ftw. 75%. Sometimes I take dt's and 50, but usually I forget to drop dt's, so I like to keep it simple:)  And yes, the 38 can furball.  Actually it can pretty much do anything you want it to...though not the best at anything....unless you account for style:)

I used to like the 38G but when they added the extra weight to it I just couldn't bring myself to fly it anymore. The G was a decent turner and matched my flight style but now with the extra 800lbs, it's nothing more than a J with out wep.

Now I just think they are nice too shoot at..

50% fuel ?
small or large ammo loadout.

And you do use it as a turn fighter right?

P.S. I am thinking alomg the lines of the L modle here

EDIT: and like skyrock said the 38 was one of the first WWII planes I knew by name

Usually take 75% fuel with a drop tank and full ammo load.  Yes, I turn fight in the P-38.

L is my favorite.... but I have been flying J the most lately. 75% sometimes with sometimes without DTs. If fight is very close I take 50% no DTs.

Don't believe it for a second :)

Just took a bit of readjusting.  Still turns on a dime.  Love that 38G :)

50 and 2 DTs for me most trips.
