i don't know if anyone else has experienced this and im new too so who knows. Last night I was coming in for a landing and my nana came in and scared me my wheels slammed into the ground and broke. The strange part is I flew off the side of the funway and came to a stop. Then thinking of losing those 3 kills i clicked end sortie and it said landed successfuly. HAs this happenned to anyone else

Even if you land "wheels up" it will score a succesfull landing as long as you are still on the pavement.

I was in a hurri II the other night and had just killed 3 bogeys over a vbase.  Was engaged with a lower La-5 and ran dry.  Came in on a glide to land at the vbase and hit a tree on my way in, skidded to about 3 feet from the runway don't think any part of my plane was on the pavement, and figured i wouldn't get the landing.  I got it and was surprised.  Happy too, can't complain haha, but it was a bit odd

Was coming in on a carrier once. I was either out of gas or engine damaged, whatever the reason I was dead stick. I ultimately came up short and touched down on the water in the ship's wake. However I still got credited with a landing.

Another time I was coming in under similar circumstances. I came down on a bad angle and skidded until I was dangling over the side, about where the AAA guns on the port side are located. Keep in mind I WAS still on the ship. Towered out and got a ditch.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Ur nana scared you into landing right? As long as part of the plane is on the pavement then you are safe from ditch.

The thought of a battle hardened fighter pilot even saying the word nana is killing me!

I only wish I still had a nana or two.

And yes, I've gotten landings like you describe and even once where I bailed out.

Welcome aboard theace417.

I was thinking the same thing.

My nana would scare me too, but my nana was spooky.
