hey fellas,

take a look at this forum. Tank Sites  its a thread off of the bug forum. i know there are others out there with tank site issues.

Skuzzy has said he is giving up on fixing them. with out more complaints they will never fix them. so if you will, if you have tank site issues then please post some pictures on that forum let HTC know there are more then just three of four or us having this problem.

I had this problem a while ago, I think it was right after the B25 release, but it was fixed. Skimming through your thread, it looks like your the only one having this problem....

The only issue I have with GVing is for those who change the detail sliders you can see GVs at vast distances. which in and of itself isnt that bad.
the fact you can see them at vast distances even though you should not be able to have an LOS because of trees and hills is my issue.

If a GV at a distance has a blocking substance in front of it. trees. Hills bushes that you normally woudnt be able to see through with the detail sliders up.
Then you still should not be able to see them with the detail sliders down as well.

Cover should be cover no matter how the detail sliders are set.
If a tank is behind a hill or tree it shouldnt matter if the detail sliders are turned down. If the tree or hill becomes invisable. then the GV hiding behind the tree or hill should also become invisable so long as it remains behind the cover.

Skuzzy said he was giving up on it, and being a network guy I can see why, seeing he's not the game programmer so much.

Had you read the rest of his post you would have seen that he said he was passing it on to the development team to have them look at it. Its not a dead issue, just one that need more looking into by someone other than Skuzzy.

Over all, I can see where it may be pretty low on the list of things to fix, but its still on the list. Ease up bro !

The only tank that has the hash marks into the black is the T34.. So yes others are having the problem to.

I would rather have an answer to the GVs shooting thru hills then the gun sights.

film your gv fights. just about all the time like 99.9% of the time they are getting their shots just over the hill and have a small shot on your turret. go back and look at the film from the NME tanks view and you will see what he sees.

two diffrent worlds your end vs his end. i learned this one the hard way.

thanks for posting about the T-34 sites you have any pictures by any chance.

See my above post.
what they are doing is turning the detail sliders down.
this in effect makes  most of the trees and some hills invisable and you can see right where the GV is.

They arent firing through the hill but over it. the fact that the hill is invisabe and thus provides you with no cover clueing him into exactly where you are.
From that point its only a matter of getting the right range

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.
