Axis Turbine Mission
« on: February 15, 2008, 02:08:13 AM »
As posted a few days before us axis made a mission for the last day of the war. We had about twenty-two pilots join up at the start with a few more tagging along once we were up. We meet very little opposition to our target and even less heading away from it even with around twenty allies on when we said what our target was going to be. Here are a few pictures from it.

Thirteen Me-262s spolling up on the runway waiting fo rthe mission to start.

Nine Ar-234 bombers doing the same.

"Roll 'em"

First and second gruppe froming up ahead of the bombers.

Escorts showing the bombers we are with them the whole way there.

Ar-234s forming up with 2nd gruppe in the background.

Looks like someone wants to play with the big boys.

Bombers watch that pony.

N7 taking care of the only enemy that came to meet us.

It was a really fun mission just wish more allies would have come up and played with us.

Might try Ju88s and 109/190s next time. I'm sure you would see more then.

I haven't played since I saw the 262 in game. Waiting for next series to start up.

why?  the 262 is the easiest plane in that set to evade.  you guys had the tempest which is more than enough plane to counter the jet as it's modelled in AH.

Nice pictures! Impressive to see that many jets in concert!
Unfortunately, even though alerted and forewarned, I have a feeling many of your opposition was taken out to the wife/GF Ack.

Thems the breaks though. Great pics!

With the temps little range, and speed of your guys planes, would have been impossible to intercept.

And when allies do missions its with 17s with 51 escorts.  Much easier to intercept, even easier now that you can have 262s.

I can only imagine the number of 262s what would up if we had a 20 flight B-17 raid.... :noid

the temps (and all other airframes) in the AvA have twice the range they do in the MA with the reduced fuel burn we enjoy.  your temp base was fifty miles from the front while our jet bases were over 100 miles distant.

I don't want to nitpick but you guys missed a great opportunity to play what is likely the best ride in the game for free for three days.

I come in at around 28k, after I flying around a9 area for about 15 minutes I find the big Axis raid that was planned. Unfortunately I am not able to coerce anybody else to come up with me.

I boar past escorts and head to bombers.

I attack the Blitz's.

Pull up from first pass and avoid a Dora

Reach my End after about 3 passes at the Blitz formation, 1 kill, several bombers wounded.

You HAD to be cheating theres no way in hell a P51 can climb above the jets then dive in and get kills. Dont you know we can go mach 2 even with our engines off. :lol
