I do, and I will, and I'm quite sure I and others have seen conflict even that high, especially over Rookland.

Strategic bombing in the game is just about dead. At least in the MAs. And thats a shame. But Im not going to fly a bomber anywheres near a base where a bunch of Dweebs can up uber rocket ships that in real life were zero threat to Allied bombers. I got better ways to spend a few hours. Such as bombing tactical targets in support of my CVs. And it seems many of the skilled bomber hunters have gotten away from it a little. I cant even look forward to getting slaughtered by Lusche since he now flys Rook. A couple other skilled hands have told me they spend much more time in the DA nowadays, that they used to spend hunting bombers.

There really is no strategic game in AH nowadays that I can see. Pity! All these bombers are wonderful airplanes.

I would have to disagree with ya rich as far as strategic bombing..I run many missions for bish, and I can tell you that bombers hitting certain targets is almost always called for.No I am not speaking of NOE bombing raids,I am speaking of high alt bombers going and hitting specific targets to help the missions move along..

I think that many of the bomber pilots get to where they want to learn something new,and move to fighters and or Gv's.I know I have..

And I have to say that I also think there is some strategy in AH.I have tried to build up my squad to "SEE" where problems could arise and get rid of the "PROBLEM" before it raises its ugly head..and I have been lucky enough to have recruited the ones I have, and they as well have the same vision as I,and thats what being a squad is all about.

I mostly run NOE missions, but I also run MANY GV missions lately and those take a bit of "strategy,or pre-planning,as do some of the "AT ALTITUDE" missions I run, which arent many, but they do exist..

Strategy is a bit limited by targets,i.e. so many ord bunkers you can blow up to allow you to get the CV close in to a base, but if one really loooks at what is going on in game, and with a little bit of looking ahead, one can roll missions into sometimes 2-3 bases in succession, and that is WITH CONS around..

Numbers do usually account for base taking, and I depend on those who join my missions to trust me to have taken the correct steps to get the mission accomplished,as much as I trust them to follow through on their steps..And that is what brings a country into a rolling mass of base-taking...Call it a horde,or whatever,I call it TEAMWORK,and it gets the job done..

TEAMWORK is a strategy that is the most useful, and most unstoppable.

Keep in mind, MANY bombers in WW2 bombed from about 10k-15k.

Even with giant US bomer missions, only the topmost boxes might push that high, the rest dropping significantly lower, and the lower boxes even lower still.

Do you have any sources for this info?
