Pretty Cool.
"The light-emitting diode (LED) lamp, named Gravia, has just won second place in the Greener Gadgets Design Competition as part of the Greener Gadgets Conference in New York City."
It's certainly a better gadget than the EnerJar which won top prize. All that guy did was create a DIY version of a product that has been available for years (eg. Kill-a-watt).

Not really gravity powered, it's muscle powered. Gravity is just the method used to regulate the conversion of the potential energy (created by the muscle work) into usable electricity.

I've got some uranium at my desk, in a marble. Apparently they fluoresce nicely in an airport X-Ray machine, and dropping a couple into a fellow worker's briefcase as he's leaving on a business trip can create hilarity.
