Avatars and Signature pics
« on: March 06, 2008, 06:00:03 PM »
I say leave the avatars at 80X80, but increase the max file size from 30,000 to 90,000 bytes and do away with signature pictures altogether.

If someone doesn't post on this board within a year their avatar gets deleted to save server space, since many members seem to be shades anyway.

P.S. Yeah, I should have put this in the Wishlist forum.

I think the avatar limit is not server space, but page load time for dial up users.

I agree up it though, many boards have 100k limit, and 100x100 some even larger.

I also agree kill signature images, but I am biased, as if I can't put even 1/4 of my old sig that was within the rules no one should get a cool signature  :P
I don't know what to put here yet.

The avatar limit should be at least 100x100, maybe 100x125 would be better, mine is not even readable at 80x80  :cry
In most cases the sig graphics get out of hand. Let's trade some bandwidth, scrap the sig pics and up the avatars  :D
