You should consider contributing the object editor info to the WIKI.

The first page is already defined but not created.

The terrain editor is already done there...

If I were to contribute in this manner, where would I place the tutorial links?

Hi Denholm, apologies for jumping the gun, but I've put a draft version of your Object Editor tutorial on the wiki so you can see what it might look like.

Hope you don't mind - if you object to your tutorial being on there, we can remove it, no problem.

There are great advantages to having the tutorial based on the wiki: you have a single version that's easy to find, you update it in one place and everyone sees the latest version, it's searchable, you can add screenshots and page formatting... etc.  Happy to help with any of those aspects.

Anyway please take a look and if you're happy to go ahead we could add in screenshots and so on...

Thanks Wantok I was going to do that, but time isn't my friend right now.

The only thing I'd suggest is to break it down into sections. Take a look at the TE main page. Everything is broken down and easy to find.

You don't have to do it that way, but think of it more as player made documentation than a tutorial. Break it down into sections so if someone wants to see a specific topic, like "Exporting Shapes" or "Importing Shapes" they can do it from the main Object Editor page with a single click.

Also if it's done this way, user corrections or additions will be much more task specific.

That looks great! However where does one find it from the main wiki site?

My old host shut down, so I updated the download links to both tutorials towards the bottom of the tutorial's thread page.

You can edit/change things there if you like.

Yes, I do know. Others don't, though. Therefore I enjoy keeping updated links to the resource.

Just curious, why not update the link to the Wiki page then?
