Get a life, I haven't put off real world commitments for a game since I was a teenager. When your putting off work, friends, family for a game time for a reality check.

If you're going to call in to work just to play cartoon airplanes, you've got serious problems.

If your taking this thread that seriously you've got serious problems.

I usually do check the BBS before I go to work if I have time :lol
If I saw it, I'd be logging in on both computers (mine and Sarah's accounts) to let it download before I go..;)
I HAVE taken an afternoon off to fly in a snapshot event though. I even told my boss what I was going to do.
Sometimes it's nice to have a good boss.

I work at home, so unless there is something urgent going on the answering machine would be turned on and AH would get my attention for a few hours  ;)

well, since I'm a student I don't really have much choice.
Even if I did have a choice, if I did stay at home I'd get quite pissed off at myself and probably go into school a bit late

And anyway, school really isn't that bad (at least for me)
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Of course.  They don't pay me the big bucks to stay home.  And let's face it - you dweebs will still be here when I get home.

The important question is "After promising wifey an evening, you get home to find Aces High 2.2 released... what do you do!? "

Remember, you probably can't claim your staying home sick in that one!

I'm retired now.My last job came with sick pay,so I could easily take the day off and be paid for it.However I wouldn't take time off to download a upgrade for AH.I needed the sick days I accumulated for more serious things like operations, and real sick days.

If you don't use your time off, you lose your time off. But I would go to work, then come home, lock the door and proceed to get pwn'ed.

I figure I get 5 PAID sick days a year. If I don't use them I loose them. Since I never really call in sick because I'm sick I use those days for the odd day off.

So yeah I would probably call in. My boss is pretty cool so it wouldn't be a problem.

Well, that would depend on how much snow is on the ground or falling. Forty tons of truck and freight can be very dangerous on slippery roads.

"Boss, we've only got four trucks. I think loosing some income for one day is better than risking cutting our profits by 25% for who knows how long."
"Mawhah wah whawah?"
"I know I can handle it boss, but it's those nuts in Chicago on snow. They have a good chance of wipping right into the truck."
"Wha waa mwah."
"Thanks boss, see ya tommorrow."
