C47 proper troop package

C47 carried 26 troops plus the crew. Would be nice to see 26 troops instead of 10. This would make it much more difficult for the la7, spits, ect that up and short hop to the town to be able to kill them. Heck i'd settle for 20 even.

I think its a lot more fun the way its setup right now. You get the bare minimum required to capture the field and you have to try to keep each one alive if you have any hopes of capturing the field. Adding more would make it too simple for C47s to capture a field.

If HTC gives you 26 troops per C-47, he'll just up the maproom capture limit to 26 troops. That makes it easier to kill just 1 troop off, easier to pick off the 2.6x as many troops trying to get into the map room, and easier to pick off GVs or goons as they sit there releasing troops (slower than before).

I think the troop numbers are fine the way they are.If you had the 'realistic' loadout on the c47,then you'd see several goons simply dropping en-masse without bothering to land.Theres no way the odd few defenders still up are gonna stop the base capture.Landing goons and sneaking bases is fine as is.

Knights were getting wooped at 117 last night then they came up with a cool tactic of letting troops run everywhere.

Of course slowing down the old frame rates.  Very GAMEY! 

Now lets see if I had 26 troops and i upped 4 times and let them all run thats a nice 100+ troops grinding all of the vulchers machines to a halt yea that'll work!!!

Well this is the wishlist post so let me expand. Maybe it would be nice to up the limit in the C47 from 10 to say 14 or 15, that way the single la/spit couldn't ruin the capture by just making 1 pass. This would in no way effect gv troop capacity as we currently have it as i think the spawn points already give them an advantage, so gv troop level would still be 10. My squad an i ran into a situation last night were we got troops in C47 to the base and a single la then spit upped both times and rammed the C47 taking out 3 or 4 troops with the ram. The first time C47 was on ground all troops out and running, he never fired a shot just augered into the C47, second time he rammed the C47 in the air, once again all troops out he killed half of them. I just think as the way it is now it's just way to easy for 1 plane to ruin a capture by killing 1 or 2 troops because we carry the bare minimum needed to capture in the first place. You shouldn't have to fly 5 goons a sector and a half on a sneak raid to get a town when you can roll 1 land next to a town and take it. As close as some of these towns are to the fields now it takes 15 sec for an la7 to up and hit the town/goon.

wrongwayric, what's wrong with your goon run getting spoiled?  If so, you should be getting a fighter escort, or using M3s instead.

I'm not trying to be aggressive, it's just that you seem to be saying that since some total loser dweeb who clearly doesn't know what a gun is for, let alone where the f*** his trigger button is, therefore the game should be changed.

Since he's clearly such a retard, just up a P-47 (or your personal preference), and blow him out of the sky  :D

 :lol Did you miss the part were we were flying 1.5 plus sectors away from our base? Was a squad mission and even though we had a rough cap of 5 planes over the town/field he could still up and short hop to the town and kill the goon before anyone could get to him. We took 2 goons with a 45 sec delay on first ground drop and airdrop and same guy got both in 2 seperate sorties. Had our fighter cap stayed low i'm assumeing he would have just ho'd, re upped been right back in on town, but our fighter now has to come 1.5 sectors to re engage. Since he could see the distance we had to come he knew darn well we had 1 to 2 goons max coming in, so target goons, ram/ho, whatever, he could win no problem as that's all he had to target to save the base. Look at it this way, it takes 8k bombs to kill a cv, so up your lanc with 8k only, that's just enough to do the job. Why would you take more? Yea right like i see guys going along with that. :lol

Perk price on full 26 troop loadout, and/or all cargo added to the damage model.

I do enjoy the 10 troops and it seems like it would bee to easy even with 15 troops cuz a lot of times we dont get a base from 1 troops not making it in and that makes you try harded...
But i dont like the fact that i can drop 9 troops in a maproom and if some1 gets #10 he/she gets the maproom... :mad: :mad: :cry
i think it should be on the amount of troops in and it should be divied up :D
