Well that guy did make a somewhat smart comment to him about, TYPING IN ALL CAPITALS. I don't like capitals either but i didn't feel the need to lob a spitwad at the guy about it. So i understand his response.....
It's the PNG comment wasn't it. :devil

<snip> but in real life La-7s ..snip....wouldnt make up 30% of the aircraft in the air at any given time.

Over the Berlin and "eastern" Germany in 45 thats exactly what you would have found...........

It's exactly that type of comment where you don't know if somebody's being good natured or being rude or just trying to childishly flame somebody for the immature purpose of trying to make their testicles seem bigger under a magnifying glass of being a troll.

If you see one running, just turn around usually he'll be back.....wait... when he comes back turn to engage.....avoid the ho...if you can get a front shot, fire at him. Eventually he'll leave, very few of them want to rap up in a dogfight, they'll get tired if they see their little game isn't going to work on you...

Another thing, i run in La's if i have too, Mustangs too. I'll also turn fight in a Zero. I won't engage a plane in a knife fight that i know turns better, sometimes i will. (Spit for instance). Stop worrying about dieing.

Sometimes i just fight for the fun of it. Depends on what game i'm playing, i get my fun by annoying people or just turning for the jolly's of it. Ask anyone who's seen me in a 38 and they'll tell you i'll turn fight with ya.

USE your advantage, THEY"RE using theirs.... there's no shame in it. When i see a Mustang or LA running i just go about my business and play my tactics on them.

Stop complaining, your not powerless, wear them down by denying their tactics.

Have fun !

the turning around guys......they ALL turn back as soon as they see you've given up.......trick is to hide your speed, as they all seem to think you're slow at that point. i've also found that about 1/2 of them will end up in a turn fight with ya.....they seem to get pissed that they can't get the shot they want, and at one point or another will pull juuuust a teeeny bit harder for that shot thry'll never get....but they give you a chance by doing this....another thing i do when they're running, is i keep a very shallow climb going, as when they turn back, they almost always loop up and over for the alt gain....so this way, i'm not seriously lower than they are.......

I do that same thing. I start climbing as much as i can then when i see them turning i turn. Maybe a little shallow climbing turn. I hit wep while i'm doing this. I level out and dive slightly and dive under their merge. I loop up and over (P-38) as usually i am able to out vert them. Sometimes i'll double immel and watch them try to hang with it. Now i'm on their tail. They dive desperately. They look really helpless.

I can tell the ones that are inexperienced. Usually i get a oldtimer who starts verticaling up with me. We start a vertical rolling scissors. Each of us rolling at the top for the shot trying to dive in behind each other. This is when it gets good... we spiral dive for the deck each trying to outurn the other. We end up on the deck, it's a flat turn contest to the death. (I love these)  :D :rock Usually if i'm in a 38 i try to hang in there as long as i can. If it's a Spit i'm dead. Usually La's i can beat, Niki's. Sometimes i can get F-4u's to stall and bobble under torque which allows me to kill them.

Be careful, just cause a guy runs doesn't mean he's scared. He's just setting you up again. And will come in and could possibly be the best fight of your life.  I love those..... :aok

You really need to depress the "lighten up" clutch. It's on the floor next to the "think before you post" break that you probably should have used too. That would prevent both gear grinding and lame thread posting.
