This is going to backfire. Last time they tried this (with smaller refunds, albeit) folks used it to pay bills because they were so in debt.
I've already spent most of mine on a single car insurance payment. How sad is that?
I don't know if debtors paying of debts is exactly backfiring. It is still putting money into the economy andproviding more capitol to businesses.
For my part, that is exactly what I am going to do. I am taking what I get for me, my wife and my children and throw it at my debt. Yeah for me!
My only concern is that our government is borrowing money in order to provide this stimulus package. So, the feds are going further in debt to try and shore up an economy in trouble because of debt
