Depends on your computer specifications. If you have a crappy comp than it's no surprise. However if you have a decent comp and the whole thing is slow it may be spyware or ADs.
If your comp is not so good i'd suggest no more than 512 texture and 1024x768 resolution. As for in game settings maybe half. It would help to know your system specs too.
