are you using a custom sound setup? if so, you might have one that is corupted. Rename the sounds folder, the game will use default ones. See if it still happens.

I had the same thing happen !....Everytime I pressed Engine stop.. in any GV. :uhoh......received the blue screen and had to reboot. :furious/

I was using Mitzu sound package....deleted....use Default.... and that seemed to do the trick !

I do hope this works for U  !!! :aok

I would suggest removing all custom sounds and trying it.  Just rename the "sounds" folder, then create an empty "sounds" folder and try it.

Skuzzy,

I did this and it still did not help, I'm not sure but it seems it might be a conflict with my sound card and the mic.  everytime i key up it crashed when i was in a vehicle, but when i keyed up in a plane the sound volume went back to default levels, even when i checked to see if the sound volume was turned down it still showed it where i set them. So this is quite annoying i still fly but would like to figure out the conflict. Do you have any other Ideas?

For a test, I would rename the 'HTC' folder and do a fresh installation of the game and try it.  If it works, then you know you have something in the old game folder causing the issue.
