The Near-Earth Object Program Office at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., has not changed its current estimates for the very low probability (1 in 45,000) of an Earth impact by the asteroid Apophis in 2036.

Contrary to recent press reports, NASA offices involved in near-Earth object research were not contacted and have had no correspondence with a young German student (13 years old), who claims the Apophis impact probability is far higher than the current estimate.

This student's conclusion reportedly is based on the possibility of a collision with an artificial satellite during the asteroid's close approach in April 2029. However, the asteroid will not pass near the main belt of geosynchronous satellites in 2029, and the chance of a collision with a satellite is exceedingly remote.

Therefore, consideration of this satellite collision scenario does not affect the current impact probability estimate for Apophis, which remains at 1 in 45,000.

I'll say it again even if I already know that it will fall on deaf ears: Islam fundamentalists are a minority (even if a loud and dangerous one). They should be closely monitored and even prosecuted whenever possible (disrespect of human  rights, hate speech laws...). However, the majority of moslems in Europe are people trying to live a good life in peace. I'll even add that I've met much less fundamentalist moslems IRL than fundamentalist christians on this board (like the quoted gentleman above).

I just met (professionnally uh)  a moslem young lady the other day. She behaves like any other european girl, dresses the same and jokes about sex. Sorry if it rubs your convenient misconceptions the wrong way.
Most moslems living in Europe are adopting western values and way of life, even if they retain their religion and some of their culture. This should be encouraged. To declare islam as evil will only make things much worse by pushing a big chunk of the mild majority into the fundamentalist arms.

I'll say it again even if I already know that it will fall on deaf ears: Islam fundamentalists are a minority (even if a loud and dangerous one). They should be closely monitored and even prosecuted whenever possible (disrespect of human  rights, hate speech laws...). However, the majority of moslems in Europe are people trying to live a good life in peace. I'll even add that I've met much less fundamentalist moslems IRL than fundamentalist christians on this board (like the quoted gentleman above).

They have declared war on us since 1979, they have been fighting all of this time - we have only recently joined the fight.  When someone tells me they want to kill me and they have shown in the past they WILL do so, I tend to take them serious.  It takes a serious case of DENIAL to stick your head in the sand and pull a Rodney King "Can't we all just get along?"  Hell no, we cannot, they have brought many many attacks against us, against their own.  Islam is not a religion of peace, it is a religion of submission.  I am not going to submit to them - period.

You need to brush up on the events which I am old enough to remember very well since 1979 and realize that they DO want to kill YOU!  I am so glad that the Islamofascists have chosen Iraq as their focal point for battle.  Since they have done so, Iraq has become our own "Terrorist A-hole Bug-Zapper".  It's a great place for them to die - en-masse.  Wake up... You can act like Neville Chamberland in 1936 (AND Roosevelt until 7 December 1941)  But you ARE in a war, you are the object of their aggression no matter which party you choose to vote for in November, The islamofascists want to kill YOU.

I just firmly believe that if I am in a war that the cost of waging that war against me should be so terrible and unthinkable that they must beg for peace and fear any future action against me.  That is the way a war should be fought - swiftly with no holds barred because that is the way they fight, that is all they understand and respond to.

If you are correct then tell me....  Where is that peace-loving Muslim majority to be found whenever those others are misusing their own religion???  Where are the muslim masses kicking these clerics in the arse so hard their noses bleed???  With the exception of only a very small, brave handful, they never say a word - or else! (only those who can afford qualified security are still alive)  Fact is, most do not disagree enough to say a word in public and not nearly enough to stand up for us.
