You choose what you type.  It's not like you don't have a second to think first.  Mods shouldn't have to say or do anything as we ought to be in control of our virtual mouths as we type.

The mod situation is a joke.  I have been called          ac     ock   I typed "shut it twit" in response and got muted for 60min, while the fella that called me ac ock, kept typing.  I am not defending the badmouthing on 200, but making light that with humans, there is personal judgment, and with personal judgment, there is bias!

OK mods....

I typed "blah blah fluffluff'n whatever" and a mod chastised me for typing "fluffluff'n".  I don't mean i typed f****n*, literally it was eff apostrophe enn.  And I got muted for 60 minutes.  Over a non-swear.  lol, I admit I said something about the mod being in bible school....but still, mods should let crap like that go.

i don't actually think it's the mods.......i think it's an automatic filter.....i got a warning almost instantly the other night for typing "chit".....no way it was a mod. which brings this point up.........you HAD to have had at least ONE warning before you got muted..which means you brought it on yourself by pushing the limit.

 second thing........you had two accounts.......guess you were one of those that has mulltiple accounts to "fluff" your socre?

We actually have a poster at work that describes how a disgruntled customer ends up costing MUCH more than that. By the time they leave, spread their unhappiness through word of mouth and cause other customers to question their loyalty, or "discover" how they too have been "wronged" and didn't previously know it, and to cause other potential customers to take their business elsewhere to begin with.  The figures are crazy, and are likely inflated so we the employees take customer happiness more seriously- but show something like one disgruntled customer causing the loss of potentially 48 other customers.

Just thought I'd throw that in since it's a bit of trivia I've never been able to use, and probably never will again.  Thank you for that!

Similar story- I tried to type F4U and forgot the "4", and got warned.  I was so pizzed I quit AH and never came back.  Ok, well maybe I meant to quit...  I mean come on!  I was wronged!  Repressed!  Where's the justice?!

that's actuaually a good point....i own an automotive repair shop/....it costs on average about $50.00 to gain a new customer, but only $2.00 to keep a customer. customers are ALWAYS happy to squeak about things......i think about 60% or something like that.......but less than 30% tell friends how happy they are with services.
