It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

I remember when I was a kid the big worry was the new ice age coming, and the chicken little scientists were making noise about how we would be locked in sheets of ice by the turn of the century.

Of course that didn't happen. So now it is the global warming band wagon the chicken little scientists have jumped on. Throwing about data like it is written in stone, of course most of it is to justify their grant, and research funds.

I think they should be ashamed for calling themselves scientists when they go into a research project with a preconcieved conclusion. What ever happened to objectivity?

Cudos to the scientists in your article wrag. At least they had the brass to stand up and speak their piece, which is not going to make them popular with their peers.

Without jumping in on either side of the issue, I googled the "International Climate Science Association" and didn't get a match.   I thought it unusual that the group wouldn't bother to put together a website, or at least be referenced by some new article across the web somewhere.

Odd.

I also question the scientific validity of an attempt to debunk a 22,000 yr or longer climate trend with a 10 yr graph.

If the trend was 22,000 yr old, the global warming would most definitely NOT be man made. The 10 year graph was put to show the lack of correlation between CO2 and temperature variations on such time scales.

Thanks for the link.   They were mis-identified in the MND article.

...I think they should be ashamed for calling themselves scientists when they go into a research project with a preconcieved conclusion. What ever happened to objectivity?

From the International Climate Science Coalition's mission statement:
Quote

ICSC is an international association of scientists, economists and energy and policy experts working to promote better public understanding of climate change science and policy worldwide.  ICSC is committed to providing a highly credible alternative to the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) thereby fostering a more rational, open discussion about climate issues.

Looks they are working off some preconceptions as well.   I don't mind skeptics - science needs skepticism.   But attempting to refute a 22,000 yr record using just the last 10 years in not "highly credible".

Food prices and shortages are becoming an increasing problem globally. Half-assed attempts to solve a non-problem may not give the same warm fuzzy feeling when it results in millions dying of starvation because we are burning food instead of oil.

i did a project on global warming. out of 186 billion tons of CO2 that enters the atmosphere each year we only cause 6 billion tons of it each year. People like Al gore need to keep there mouth shut cause they dont have a clue what they are talking about and only want peoples money. Global warming/ freezing is just a natural accuring event and we cant do anything to change it. how do you think the ice age melted??? because of global warming. almost 10,000 years ago when there was no technology. in the 50s it was cooling. the earth just cycles. listen to scientist not politics about science.

global warming started when cavemen discovered fire, that started the melting of the ice caps.

But the pro-global warming / climate-change / greenie-flavour-of-the-month camp is happy to use data from the last 50 years?

Hope you re-read what you're saying, or even just sit down and think about it a little.

even if  man made global warming was real (and i dont think it is) it wont be a problem thanx to the end of life as we know it, created by the massive food shortages, and total failure of the world economy created by the mass histeria of people like Al Gore!    THANX Al

Much obliged if you'd point out where I said that.    I did point out in my first post I wasn't jumping in on either side.
