Did anyone notice if they were on knight side at port ... umm i forgets... anyway, Vanscrew was in a Tiger and it took 13 Panzers, and 4 fighter planes loaded with 20mm Hispano bullets to knock the guys tank into swiss cheese. You are asking for Vanscrew to live through 13 x 2 Panzers (26 Panzers), and 4 x 2 fighter planes (8 fighter planes) LOADED WITH 20mm explosive rounds (Hispano bullets) to kill him??

I was one of those fighter planes, and i was in Spit XVI, i hit him with more than 130 .20mm Hispano and at least 250 .50 caliber bullets and he managed to live.

Your're really thinking 20mm thin-walled HE rounds should harm or even kill a heavy tank?

And just so you  know is 1 person had brought ords (and knew how to make an attack run), he'd be toast.

I dont know enough about Tank'ing to really have an opinion. I'll say this tho, the Tiger in AH strikes as more a special purpose tank and not a real general purpose, fire and maneuver, tank. As a spawn camper its without peer, and spawn camping is a big part of tanking in the game. Ive upped a few Tigers for base defense, moved them towards avenues of enemy approach, turned the engines off, and from cover engaged enemy tanks from long range. Thats where the Tiger really seems to have value. As a long range defensive tank.

Actually in real life it was feared in that role as well wasnt it?

In contrast, the Soviet T-34 equipped with the 76.2 mm gun could not penetrate the Tiger frontally at any range, but could achieve a side penetration at approximately 500 m firing the BR-350P APCR ammunition. The T34-85's 85 mm gun could penetrate the Tiger from the side at over 1,000 m. The IS-2's 122 mm gun could destroy the Tiger at ranges exceeding 1,000 m from any aspect.

From a 30 degree angle of attack the M4 Sherman's 75 mm gun could not penetrate the Tiger frontally at any range, and needed to be within 100 m to achieve a side penetration against the 80mm upper hull superstructure. Yep.. An M4 will turret or kill a Tiger easily from 2K.. I'm pretty sure I've had it happen beyond that too.  Add the M4's relatively very flat trajectory in either type of ammo, the Tiger's slow turret speed, and the M4 is easily dominant in maybe 75% of AH GV circumstances.
The only realistic addition to the Tiger I can think of for AH, is smoke sprayers.

happened more than once for me. But the Sherman should have a higher perk, the Tiger is fine. It does seem a bit weaker, even to Panzers since the M4 came out, but its a small thing if it is any different.  But the M4 should have an increased perk, not the Tiger be removed.

Been ages since I read up on armor but if I recall correctly the Tiger would excel in long range engagements.  It was designed as a breakthrough heavy tank, assaulting and punching a hole in the enemies defenses that would then allow the rest of the unit to move into the rear area and envelope the enemy.  The Tiger was at it's best in open terrain where it's heavy armor and gun would be an advantage in most engagements.  One thing that I haven't seen mentioned yet was historically the optics on the Tiger were superior to what would be typically found on allied tanks, allowing it to accurately engage targets at range.

you must have gotten those scores from late war.  i hardly go in there.  i know ive lost more tigers in mid war then i have kills and way more kills then deaths in a panzer.

ok, i stand corrected. i just figured out how to check the kill stats.  i have more kills then i remembered in a tiger but i can say this, almost every one of my deaths in a tiger were 1 shot kills.

Now a question that does beg asking is why is there not a simple two lens range finder?
Not that GV'ing needs to be easier, but IMO it would be an historic addition.

The Tiger I is friggen joke of a tank anymore.  Please upgrade it or remove it from the game.  It is a disgrace in its current manifestation and not worth the perks it costs at all.

its not the gun hitler didn understand that the gun should have been smaller while maintaining its lethalness the gun shoots a big round sure but it fires to heavy of a rond making it slow less affective at long range
