This is the sort of thing that you(and any other AH player) could do to help reduce the workload of the CM's. We'll handle the major things, and something as simple as doing a time conversion is a great example of how the AH community can help itself out.

You know that the easiest way to check times in various time zones relative to you is to....

change the Time Zone of your Windows clock.

actually, you did state summer/winter time for the US.  you said EST = Eastern Standard Time.  That's our "winter" time.   :p

so CET is GMT+0100?  all I know is I'm GMT-0600 as of Sunday morning.  before it was just GMT-0500.   :)  (Central time here)

The times Seeker gave are correct for both summer and winter - our clocks go back and forward, same as yours   :)  The only time there is any variation is if one of us goes back/forward earlier or later than the other, which throws things out for a week or two.

GMT is a slightly different matter.  Greenwich Mean Time is fixed and always remains the same.  In winter, the UK is on GMT (CET is GMT+1 hour), in summer we are on BST (British Summer Time) which is GMT+1 (CET is GMT+2 hours).  This is where referring to GMT can get confusing...   :confused:  Although I am in the UK, I am quite happy with times being given in Eastern (whatever) Time, as I know we are nearly always 5 hours ahead.   :)

I think the times should be given in Zulu (GMT) for all events.  Everybody is here playing aviator, how about learning something all aviators know, how to convert time. I mean come on its not that complicated.  Learn the ZD (zone descriptor) for your time zone and figure it out.  Its not hard, once you get used to it you can figure it instantly when you look at your watch.  I just look at my watch and add 6 hours, or 5 depending on dst on or off. So I see 1300 on my watch and I think 1900Z. Piece of cake!    :)

I do the same Durr, but others have a difficult time and we need to understand that. West Coast here and I just add 3 hours when talking about Eastern time.

Of course others fly quite naturally and I suck.  :) Everyone has a gift.  ;)
