Corvettes ZR-1 was partly developed by Lotus, IIRC its cylinder heads and valvetrain was developed by that little British company.

Still don't change the fact lotus is an overpriced go-kart.

Lotus (Cars) is the name of the company, not the name of their cars. I'm guessing you're thinking of the Elise.

Are not the elise and the exige the only two models the company now makes?  Like I said overpriced go-karts.

No. Elise, Exige, Europa S, 2-Eleven, and next year they are launching the replacement for the Esprit.

But none of Lotus' cars are what you'd call "big".

I don't know what you're on about or where all your paranoia comes from. The Porsche engine is lighter, more powerful and more advanced/refined than the LS7. I honestly don't see how anyone can argue that the LS7 is better.
I image I can argue the LS7 is better since it was picked as the racing engine of the year (porsche would have been eligable in there too). You see, it kicked that porsche engines bellybutton in everything but european opinion. Trophies speak volumes.

Ah hell... maybe I should just let porsche and bmw enjoy the fact that the only way they could beat the LS7 was by vote.

The LS7 has not been "picked" as the "racing engine of the year". The LS7.R has been named the "race engine of the year". The LS7.R is not a production engine and mechanically very different from the LS7. The LS7.R is a purpose built racing engine with a designed lifespan of little more than 24 hours. Besides their designations the two engines have very little in common.

Try again.

Heh, I think it is pretty clear who's grasping at straws. What will be your next trick?

Mazda rotary from 1980s can beat LS7s...

too bad it's illegal now because it's too reliable

Rotary engines are illegal? They were great engines... when they held oil. The RX7 is a great platform for putting a small block in.
