BRIEFING: The orders were to pick up a Russian general at the Allied HQ and bring him safely to field 6 for a discussion of tactics with our 'brass'. This mission was considered of the utmost importance, if it failed relations between Allied companions would be severly disrupted. I received two squadrons of fighters for escort and a C47a for transport. I recieved total freedom on the tactical level.

INTELLIGENCE
Our contacts in the Resistence gave some valuable information. German 'activity' was to be expected heavy and not confined to their territory alone.

OBJECTIVES
MET,  to bring General Wassili Tjernenko, to field 6 for a meeting with our 'brass'.

AFTER ACTION REPORT
Squadron 110 lead by Skyraidr consisting of 6 spit mkVb (100 % fuel). Communication on channel 110 (not sure if they used RW)
Squadron 111 lead by Tern consisting of 4 ponies (50% fuel + droptanks). They set up communication on channel 111 and RW.
C47a flown by me (Russian general,Saw).
I first set up a liason channel for communictations with my squadron CO's. Then I used TS for communication with Saw.

When I got the 'go ahead' from saw (game CM) I ordered tern to take his ponies up and fly to 4 while climbing to 25K. He should loiter over 4 until I would give him the go ahead to fly to 3 (establishing a CAP between 3 and 4). The ponies where the first line of defence.
After two minutes I ordered Skyraidr to take up his spits and fly a course N of the imaginary line between 1, allied HQ, and 6. His squad would fly at an altitude of 15 K and provide more close escort.
I took of my goon, and headed to the HQ. I landed at HQ safely and took the General on board. Meanwhile Tern (pony squad) reported that he had encountered a force of axis planes below him. I told him to do what he felt to be 'right' regarding the info he had. Meanwhile I was flying towards 6 with Skyraidr (spitsquad) flying about 7 miles North of me at 15 K.

At this point our dar came back up. (NOT GOOD, ruined the surprise effect). I ordered spitsquad to go N and pursue any axis contacts. I kept flying for 6 under 500 feet.

I landed safely. Crabo who had discoed was meanwhile flying a C47 as redcross, rescue service for any Allied pilots downed.

As to kills, losses, discos, etc I don't have a clue, but I told the CO's (Tern, Skyraidr) to tell their men to email their AAR to SAW.

All in all an excellent mission. Pony Squad encountered cons, I believe Spit Squad did not. The objectives where met casualties where nihil if not low. A well deserved WTG to all Allied pilots (and ofcourse also the axis participants).
