Anyone heard from Rock? He's scheduled for CM Duty today on the Snapshot.

Can anyone cover if he doesn't show?

Writeup is on the events site:

Snapshot went well. Ran it twice, switching sides the second time.

Daddog showed up and gave me a much needed hand. I couldn't figure out how to enable only the proper aircraft.

WTG Rockstar,
I could only make the 1st one, but I loved it. 1 kill, BeTown     , 1 Bail Bluefish     . A big thanks to Redwing & BeTown for leading the flights

Thought I would share some of the excellent formation flying by the Nippon aerobatic team on the way to the rumble

Thanks vadr for making sure we were covered!

Yes it went quite well.  Rock was busy setting things up when I showed up about 20 till.  I was able to set up the fields, while he did the rest.

Had a good time flying for the IJN.  Thanks Red and Btown for stepping up as C.O.'s.  I was too busy helping rock and ended up tail end Charlie trying to catch the main IJN formation.  After about 10 minutes I realized I had two extra (wing tanks) of fuel.  Once I dropped those I caught them pretty quick.  Then big... someone did a 180 and hooked up as my wing.

We spotted the enemy at 20k and a long dog fight began which soon seperated in to several smaller engagements.  I managed to down a F4U but was soon jumped by two others. My engine was shot out and I tried to ditch. The devil round eyes had no mercey and shot me out of the sky 100' up.

I could not stay for the second go around. Hope that went as well.

<S> Rock for a fun event!

Well I would like to say that it was a pleasure to lead such a fine crew. You guys who flew allied performed beyond expectations and your formation flying and genral skill was bar none. Well Done!

After we got everyone together on the runway we took off and set course. The plan was to outsmart the paper plane flyers by making them think that we where somewhere that they where not. So we set course, formed up and winged up. When we got into the same sector as the enemy we went to the very north of the sector and came at them from the north. This worked fairly well and we managed to get a jump on them. I got 1 kill (can't remember who) But I do remember snafu shooting me down.....   I bailed and watched dogftr dogfighting with someone in a zeke. In the end the F4U team came out on top with about 5 or 6 planes still in the air. I called RTB, said my goodbyes because I had to get some sleep

Great flight all. <S> IJN forces! You guys ruled. <S> Redwing. For you where just lucky   LOL.

Thanx Rock, Daddog. Great Flights.
