Some days you can do no wrong, everything falls to your guns and you land lots of kills without hardly trying.

Other days you can buy a kill for love nor money.

Just the way it is, "use the force" and go with the flow.

While we all have good and bad days lately I've been having some fairly severe packet loss issues!

One of the hops from my puter to AH server using pingplotter was 44% packet loss AFTER I tried shooting down a plane and hit alt tab and fired up pingplotter to see.

Probably was nearer 100% at the time I was trying to hit the other plane.

Thing is I was within 300 yds and could SEE the hit sprites!  But VERY LITTLE was happening!

I've also noticed sometimes it SEEMS like I have just enough packet loss that my shots SEEM to miss or go right through em and this can be at under 400 yds.
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

I have days were I'll shoot some down only to 2 more guys fly right in front of me for two easy kills in the next 15 sec's. Other days I'm better off attacking unarmed buildings, usually the train will kill me that day also.

I usually fly at my best when I'm really really tired. I guess it's cuz I dont get mad at all when I'm shot down, so I'm still all relaxed and I'll up again and get more kills.  :aok

I'm actually the opposite, when I tired I make mistakes.

I swear someone says this on squad vox at least once per night.

We should make a new squad logo of a hydrant pissing on a soaking wet dog.

Luck is definately a factor. One week I cannot kill a thing, the next night im landing kills left and right, and giving some good sticks a moderately tough time killing me! A major factor I find is intuition. There are times when I feel I can stick around, and theres a point, a defined point, where that changes. Regardless of my E state, the number of cons, or their location, I always get this feeling that I should leave, my run is over. EVERY SINGLE TIME I ignore that and stay around, something bad happens, I either auger, collide, or get shot down. I dont know if any of you get this feeling as well, but I have learned to listen to it after losing 5+ 262s right after saying "I think I should leave, but Im gonna try for one more kill", or "I think I might disco".

I get these nights too. One night I was landing 10 kill sorties in Chogs, 6 kill sorties in 109F's, and the like...I don't think I landed without 4+ kills that night. I had to have had 100+ in that one night.
Next night I died 10 times in a row with only one kill.

id say alot of whines on the BBS are stemmed from just this very thing. people that are new or been playing for a few months and havent realized that this does happen every few nights.

Luck? Sometimes I laugh harder when no luck at all. While taking off from a field was so busy watching a con dropping down on my six for a vulch that when I looked forward the water tank filled my gunsight and boom.

Only luck was that no one else was around to witness my dweebery.   :uhoh
