Guadalcanal. F4F's, TBM's, and SDB's vs. A6M2's, B5N's, and D3A's.

 :huh :furious .....just fly if we all just flew only when we like certain planes set turnouts would be low.

Seeing that i usually don't get to fly FSO because i work on Friday it's kind of hard to stay loyal to one squad.  But since i was off this Friday was looking for a fun set-up.

I've found that the planeset rarely is the predominant factor in whether you have fun or not. ( Unless you're stuck with a whiny twit that constantly complains about the plane )

Some of the most exhilarating evenings I've had flying the underdog plane.

Some of the worst I've had flying uber-rides.  You tend to expect more, then get out strategied, out classed, or just hit by bad luck... which is actually more frustrating than if you had been in the clunker.

Had one of those nights myself....

4 zekes, some ground targets, and possibly more in a lonely SBD.

Was a blast!

Got a ride in a sweet P39D. Had a bunch of fun until the rtb landing. Walked away though.
