pitch sensitivity.
« on: March 11, 2001, 10:13:00 PM »
im a 51d driver...and...

i got just a normal MS sidewinder JS that cals fine in win98se and in AH. but for the life of me i cant tone down the pitch axis.

just very small movements of the stick turn into large deviations of the nose.
i can set the dampner so hi that it calms it down but the controls are then too slow to respond and too slow to relax ie..return to center...

my connection seems fine from the 'net status' utility, but..cood my delay get me into a psuedo PIO situation???

the only way iv found to have smoother pitch imputs is to use only the trim tabs...

Try moving the sliders down on the 0 and 10 and maybe 20 for pitch under setup>joystick.

I've got the same problem with the rudder in this ol twisty stick. I set the dead band a little high and upped the dampening a smidge. Worked like a charm.
