Could you pass the latest citizenship test?
« on: July 02, 2008, 08:58:18 AM »
I scored 80% and missed a few of the questions about the senators length of term and house of representatives, number of amendments, nothing major but enough to make me mad about not getting 100%.

Can't argue with that. Here's my favorite picture of Ben Franklin. :D

(weird thing is, she's actually is related to Ben Franklin)

When you go that far back, there's many people related to the famous figures of our history.

As for score, I got a 95%.  Though I guessed on the number of years a Senator is elected for.  Not the number, but I always get Senate and Congress mixed up.  I know the 100 person house serves for 6 years.  I know the 435 person house serves for 2.  I always forget what they are called though.

I got the chief justice wrong.

90 percent. Got the lenght of term for a senator and the number of reps wrong.

But WTF? Is that IT for citizenship?

When did they add those last 4 amendments?  Wish I had a lifeline for the 3rd in command one, I was drawing a blank.

You answered 85% of questions correctly. Here's your rating:

0-20%: Maybe you're still thinking too much about the Old Country.

25-40%: Mmmm. Do you really want to be a citizen? This kind of performance isn't going to impress those nice immigration folks.

45-60%: Not too bad, but you really need to break out the civics books again -- word is, the INS is looking for an 80 percent score.

65-80%: Hey, you may make a good citizen yet! Look at your wrong answers and a little revision should do the trick.

85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.)

phew!!..

 :uhoh

[edit]

the ones I missed..

  646 is not correct.
  435

16. If both the President and Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
Secretary of State is not correct.
  The Speaker of the House

20. What did Susan B. Anthony do?
Designed and made the original U.S. flag is not correct.
  Fought for women’s rights

65% including some lucky guesses.

Ah well - couple of years before I can apply to be a citizen anyway.
