and IIRC, (quote me if I'm wrong) his dad ditched him when he was a little kid and his mom was an Athiest, he spent most of his time growing up outside the U.S. IIRC and did go to muslim schools... It's been a while since I've heard anything like that though. I'm not so sure after the Athiest part.

Jimmy was a pretty bad President but at least you felt like you knew and trusted the guy.

This Obama guy feels like the complete opposite, and Im even from the same freaking state hes a Senator from. This guy has always said the smart thing and the thing that works for him.

People will say people like me feel that way just cause hes black. I will respond by saying hes also 1/2 white and thats all got nothing to do with it. Almost all the black folks I know at work are going to vote for him strictly cause hes black even tho they cant name one issue they know Obamas stance on. The Left just wants to make a statement that they are all swell enough to elect a black guy.

I bet most people dont know squat about the issues in this race. Frankly Im leery of McCain too. But I at least feel like he's an American I can trust.

I will move out a ways and let him pick over your bones.. by the time he gets around to me the pendulum will swing the other way.. that is.. if he even gets a chance to screw anything up at all..   He is far too wishy washy cult of personality type to ever rock the boat too much.. the worst he will do is raise inflation and interest rates like carter did and.. appoint worthless activist lefty judges.

I try not to get too involved in these conversations - its not really my election (although as a US resident and tax payer, it does impact me greatly).

It does amaze me though that from a nation of 300million+ people, the best candidates they could come up with are Obama and McCain. I'm actually more disappointed with McCain - Obama is a kind of Democratic wet dream and its no real surprise he got the nod even though there's very little of any substance to him.

McCain, on the other hand is just utterly uninspiring. I'm sure he's a straight up guy, but I don't know if he's 'leader of the free world' material. Plus he's too old.

Ahhhh...you are the CEO of a huge corporation...you brought the company outta ruins....you are a true leader....you make millions and millions of dollars...why oh why would you want to be president??? ego?
