Mine's better, 5PointOh!

Seriously, though, this is why I spend countless hours on the BBS...non-stop entertainment!  BTW, just because "teh bee-29!!1!1eleventyone!1" is a much larger and faster airplane than it's predecessors were, does not mean it automatically makes you and uber bomber pilot.  If anything, pilot rank should determine who gets to fly a B-29, though I'd still rather roam a non-Superfortress sky :aok

What is this passion with the B29? It just another big lumbering target! Why, honestly, do people fell we need this plane added?

people want alot more rare and esoteric hanger queens...

the 29 is a legit request considering its historical importance and capabilities it would be a good addition..

nuclear capabilities?  thats retarded.

Thus the reason I'm keeping this thread alive, lest another sub request appears. :uhoh

I am going to campaign for a fluffy bunny filter until it is added.

That is one of my best ideas ever, and i wasn't even drunk at the time.

The B29 people need to organize!

Yes, just like Hoffa....  This whole darn wishlist is stupid and nothing gets wished in anyways.............

But if 100 paying customers do not pay for a tour and start sending emails to HTC about the lack of B29 and how that lack has made this paying customer lose love for the game.  The loss of 1500.00 USD that tour might give Dale and the rest of the crew a reason to rethink the no B29 statement.

But until that happens, all we are really doing with these Super Fortress threads, is increasing our post count and taking up some more space on the database.

So how many of you B29 people are willing to give up the game for a month?

I want the 29 real bad but why would we have to give up the game for a month?

In honesty, I don't understand why a heavily perked (500 range even), non-nuclear/napalm, B-29 would be so darned unbalancing.

1.  Are there really no fighters that can catch it at MA altitudes?

2.  Are there really no fighters that can reach its ceiling?

(These are honest questions - I don't know the answers.  Enlighten me :) )

If question 2 is correct...  Then why not just put in a little cross wind way up in the air where none of the fighters can reach?  Not enough to make flying a B-29 up there impossible, but enough to make bombing from that alt a serious challenge.

If question 1 is correct...  First of all there's the 262 and 163, and second of all, people will just have to make their passes count.

I'm seriously doubting there are THAT many people that have enough BOMBER perks to be able to shrug off 500 point perk deductions enough to make this a horrible addition to the plane set.

fluffy rabbits weren't precise carrot droppers anyway, they were stuck to mid alt carrot bombing because of their myxomatosis.

there are people with over 10,000 bomber points..  because there isnt much to spend them on, 234s are .. meh..

if we got the B29 the skies would be fill with them for a short while, due to people "blowing their load" so to speak..  which is good, because shooting them down will be as fun as flying them IMO.

but no I dont think you will see too many b29-stuka missions IMO..

Well sure, but if you perked it high enough, you could blow through 10,000 points in a night...  If you weren't putting yourself in position to risk that, you probably wouldn't be unbalancing a whole lot.

I concede the first month would be rough, but after that...  I just don't know how unbalancing it really would be.  If anything, maybe it'd help stop dive bombing heavies considering people would want to maximize perks to be able to fly the new fun fluffy bunny.
