Just ignore them.  I only respond to rational PM's, and ignore all the squeekers that whine about getting shot down while they fly their uber plane and cannot figure out how or why I out turned them.

I've only gotten 2 bad PMs since I've started playing. The first was from RTMoose when I bombed his tiger, and rocket'd his M16. A few nasty words were said, but I gave him a <S> for the kills.  :D

The second one I can't remember who it was from, but I was RTB in a Spit 8 with a ful leak and little ammo left. And La-7 kept coming in at high speeds trying to kill me, and I'd just turn into him and cause an overshoot. Then he would run away as I got on his six, and come back at me as I broke to go back home. This went on for 5-6 overshoots. Then I decided I had enough of this. I only had 6 mins of fuel left and I need to get back to land my kills. I chased him, broke, and as he turned to make another attempt to kill me I turned into him and was the first to get nose-to-plane. I killed him and got a PM that I was a "HOing dweeb!". I asked how it was a HO when his nose wasn't even aimed towards me yet? After a few minutes of silence he did appologize for his outburst and said that I just got him at the wrong time.  :lol

It seems like I get a PM at least every other day.  For the most part they are <S>'s or just a legitimately asked "How did you do that" although there is the occasional whiner.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I'll never PM in a bad nature.   I have yet too.   I will PM some "good sticks" and say things like "you know you are better than that."    Nothing abusive, just encouragement to expand skills.

I personally think if ANYONE abuses the Private Vox or Text.  They should be Banned.

Generally speaking...PM's usually fall into 3 categories:

1. You're warping terribly; please re-log

2. A salute following a well fought victory/loss

3. A poke in the eye for (enter appropriate offense here)

I suspect you know which category you fall into.

I’ve only gotten 1 bad PM since I started playing AH and even though it happened a while back, I still remember the guy’s name. Needless to say I certainly don’t have much respect for him anymore.

oh Ill agree..there is several levels of PMs. some vicious..some cool. most the time Ill salute a good fight on 200. just lately, malicious PMs are being the norm. I don't care for them much and Ill just blow them a kiss and work em up some. I was just wondering if most out there are noticing it

I PM guys all the time, never to be a butt head though. I don't tune 200 very much so this is my way to <S> a guy and toss in a comment, or if I know em, give them a hard time.   :D Don't see the big deal in PM's, unless there cussing you out or something stupid like that, in which case I send them a LOL and then squelch them.  :D
