agree with mav..  you may never break a ruger 10/22 but you will wish you could so that you could get an accurate rifle.. and one that doesn't have that stupid rotary mag.

Savage makes some accurate rifles. They are typically on the bottom of the price spectrum and they don't spend a lot of time on the looks of the rifle. They do have a good reputation for accurate rifles in spite of the low cost. Suppressors are not common on this side of the globe so no experience there, sorry.

Have to agree. I have a Savage 110FP in .308. Matches my buddies Rem. 700 PSP in accuracy and a Hell of a lot cheaper.

I have to agree with Vulcan and Toad.  I've been shooting both those rifles since I was a kid.  The Ruger I just passed on to my nephew (he just turned 17) and the Marlin I'm holding on to for a little while longer.  Gotta love lever action rifles!
