Of course, we were flying an NOE mission to a rook base, I was a little less than a half a sector away when the town began to flash. I wasn't even close to the radar ring, when it started blinking, I went away from it and it was still blinking.

if you notice you are southwest of the town, also the town is south of the base. The radar ring is about 12.5 mile radius. It would appear that your plane is with in a 12.5 mile of the town. If you fly near a factory it will start blinking even thou no radar is available. anytime you are within 12,5 mile of a base, town or factory the object will start to flash.

yup that is what bust most noe missions, some nosy guy wondering whats going on then he finds out announces it to every body in the country it gets busted, and it is blamed on spies, (which is usually the case)
