So today I picked up my copy of Stargate: Continuum expecting a good scifi/action romp. While the movie lived up to my expectations, I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see that the F-15s used in the film are from the Oregon ANG. More specifically, they're F-15s from Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, OR, jets I have seen in person many times. While watching the movie, I first noticed that their squadron patches looked very familiar, and then spotted the distinctive tail art. I always love it when a production can have such a close working relationship with the military, and it's just cool that they used something so close to home. Even when the jets were computer generated, they still maintained the same tail art. I suppose it makes sense though since the base is where all F-15 training is done so why not use it to film parts of a movie. This movie also saw the use of a very real LA class attack sub pop up through the ice of the Arctic, very cool.
