The bubble on top of the goon is not for a gun turret. That is for the navigator to take sun/star shots with a sextant to plot the planes location. Same as the bubble in front of the cockpit on the B-17, B-24, and most other large aircraft that had a navigator and flew long range missions.

Back to the topic of this thread though, yeah I'd like to see the Russian goon with the gun turret.

Again, you'd never see a normal Goon again. Unless the russian one was slower? Still, most people in-game would trade 10 or 20mph for a small amount of armament.

but im gonna use the same argument I always use when this comes up. The spit 1 is hardly ever/ Never seen in the MA, so should this mean that all other Spitfires should be perked? Same with Hurri's etc. Just because a regular goon will 'Never be seen' doesnt men we have to perk the alternative. If the Ju52 comes, will that get perked?

No, because it's terribly slow and has a pathetic armament. The Li-2's is actually pretty nice.

Think about it this way, cargo pilots will grow a bigger pair and try to fly into places that they know they shouldn't.  This will also force the trade off between sound flight and defending.. I think it would be a matter of "why bother?" and "Hell Yeah!" for the rest of us..
