P-47 Cockpit - a suggestion?
« on: June 25, 2000, 11:17:00 PM »
NATEDOG,

I love the new P-47, but I have a problem with the instrument panel.  I use the rate-of-climb indicator, RPM, and Fuel guages a lot and they are not visible unless I us the forward-down view.  I know I am a wuss for asking this, but can you re-work the panel to make the most-used guages easily visible?  I have no more buttons to program on my stick/throttle and I find the keypad views hard to work with while trying to dive-bomb or fight off bandits.

Just thought I'd ask ...

Thanks!

buhdman, out

Yes this definetly needs attention. Either swap it with the gyro compass, or allow the seat to be adjusted back far enough to see the VSI. Other than that, It's a beautiful airplane.

P. S. I gonna keep whinning about this till I see some action!

C'mon guy's get a grip!

You have ALL the vital stuff up at the top except gas and VSI, setup a forward view to look down or something.

There are several planes in AH that have much worse setups than this, where you cannot see speed or alt with your normal combat view.

I have a different solution to this one...

I arrow back the default view, save it. Then I use the zoom key for bringing the site in when I need it. During the fight I have the view I want (leaning into the site) and I see much more of the control panel (and virtual sky) when I am scanning for a fight.

while I was making the P-47d25, I went in and re-worked the panel...... on both P47's.
will be in the next patch.

Thanks, Natedog.  This kind of responsiveness to the customer is what separates you from the competition.
