Hanger Fuel Options
« on: August 21, 2008, 06:13:46 PM »
I wish that when you are in the hanger, instead of saying 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% it would list the flight time at military power (leveled at some set altitude like 10K if need be).
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

how bout a slider where you can dictate fuel distribution as close to 1%. taking off with 33% fuel during a raid could be beneficial. 25% too little...50% too much... get my drift?

Learning the flight times of each planes is part of the fun I think.

what we do need is to be able to set the fuel loadouts tank by tank, and % by % (I'll never say it enough)

Just need an option/dot command where we're able to dump fuel when we want to. :pray

Very few, if any, WWII warplane was capable of dumping fuel.  Certainly I have never heard of a fighter that could do it.  I'll grant you it is possible that something like the Lancaster, B-24 or B-29 might have had the capability.  I seem to recall that the B-17 specifically did not.

The only thing a fighter should be able to dump is ord.

Me?  I think the ability to take up anything less than %100, especailly in fighters, is about as bogus and far away from "realism" as one can get.  People talk about the desire for accuracy and realism... well removing the ability to take %25, 50, and 75 fuel in fighters would be a good start.  Or, at least make it so drop tanks can not be carried without %100 fuel.

Then, make it so when the fuel depots are destroyed at an airfield, he max of %25 can be taken in fighters.

Or... HTC could just make the burn multiplier higher at 2.5 or even 3.  That would change things drastically.
